After my returned mail a few weeks ago, I was determined to make cards that were CAS so they could fit into an envelope. So in addition to filling my 'men's basket' with cards, I am working on CAS. The Less is More challenge for this week caught my attention. Having made so many cards with 3 or 4 colors, it is really challenging for me to stick to two colors. But I love a challenge so I thought I would give it a try.
The challenge is to make a card with BLUE and GREEN. There is an old saying.....
Blue & Green should not be seen, Unless there's a colour in between! In this day and age no colour combo is taboo, in some cases the wilder the better.
Back to creating cards in my Butterfly Garden.
Oooo this is cute! Kinda looks like this little one is in some sort of Olympic game tee hee! I'm with you on the style. People say they like my style and I think well what the heck is it LOL!!! Someimes I think you and I have a similar style. Tiny clusters and what nots. Then we mix it up and throw in a little CAS number ;)
ReplyDeleteA few months ago I would have said your style was "elegant embellishment" but lately you've done so many wonderful CAS cards that I'm not sure either!! :) They are all wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteThis is great Marie... what fabulous colouring!

I love that little rhyme! And you're definitely right - today it all goes. Love this sweet little guy - and your colouring, as always!
ReplyDeleteDefining style is kind of limiting. A while back I remember talking about the same thing, and someone helpfully said (wish I could remember who!) that eclectic was a good way to describe it. So I'm passing that on to you - as someone who makes beautiful cards in lots of styles! :)
This is too cute, love this card. Hugs, Amanda x
ReplyDeleteSoooooo cute tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet image and a great take on the LIM challenge, Marie x
ReplyDeleteHmm, I would say your style is elegant! But rather than picking a style, why not say "I've got style" lol! All your work, no matter which style you are embracing is always beautifully done. This is fantastic. Love the blue and green together and the way you've colored this little guy, especially the hair.
ReplyDeleteLovely colour work, beautiful balance and great texture. What a fab card! Hugs, Lesley
