Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride are the two challenge colors this week at Dynamic Duos. At first glace I wasn't sure how to use these two colors together but the DT has supplied much need inspiration.
Dies are from Sizzix and Zyron Shapez, papers are from MME and the image was colored with Copic markers.
The floral part of the stamp was stamped twice so I could fussy cut four of the flowers and use dimensional tape under them. The vase was paper pieced'

Shopping Our Bargin Stash
Oh what fun it is to go through all of the dollar and bargain bin stuff treasures that I have accumulated. The Shopping our Stash challenge for this week is challenging us to use some of those thrifty treasures.
SB oval dies, PTI zig zag die and MFT doily die were used to create this card.
Some of the clearance flowers/leaves were colored with Copic markers. The double sided paper was $.14 and there is enough to make another card with some scraps left over..yea!!! I could probably make one card a week with my "treasures" and would finally use them up in the year 2016!!! Can't resist a bargain.

Wedding Card
This week for the Timeless Tuesday Challenge, Deborah is challenging us to make a project for a "Wedding". I searched through my baskets of cards and realized that I didn't have any wedding cards....so...off to the drawing board to create one.
Dies from PTI, Sizzix and MFT were used for this card. The image and the die cut flower were colored with Copic markers.
Yellow acrylic paint was applied to the flower centers using a toothpick then glitter glue (dollar bin!!!) was added over the centers and on the edges of the die cut flower. Liquid pearls added the final touch on the embossed section and scattered around the floral image.
The ribbon was woven through the card on the front and the ribbon edges were concealed behind this circular floral image on the inside. This is one of those oops moments....forgot to add the highlighting behind the image and the glitter glue in the flower centers. Grrrr....don't you hate it when you take a photos, color correct it, crop it, add your watermark then when you post the photo you realize you forgot something? Oh well pretend that the missing items are there! By the time you read this the forgotten steps will be added.

Black Tie @ Dynamic Duos
***This card was a Diva Dynamo Challenge Winner***
The sun is shinning...and oh my what a difference that makes. The temperature is only in the high 40's....but did I mention...... "THE SUN IS SHINNING"!
The challenge this week at Dynamic Duos is to create a card using gray and black with the option of making it a masculine card. My binder containing 'Flourishes' stamps was already on the table, so I grabbed a masculine stamp and designed this card.
Sizzix embossing folder and dies, Fiskar edger, MS punch, scrap from my stash, Copic markers, glue pen, fine glitter, silver gel pen and a ultra fine line pen were used to create this card.

CAS @ Paper Players
The challenge at The Paper Players this week is to design a CAS card. I am really lovin' these CAS cards!! They are much easier to create and they fit in a standard size envelope with standard postage....my kinda card!
Flourishes stamp, Cuttlebug embossing folder, various dye inks applied with pieces of Cut 'n Dry, bronze gel pen, black ultra fine liner, and Prisma Colored pencils were all used to create this card.

CASE @ LIM
The challenge at Less is More this week is to create a CAS card using one of the samples for inspiration. I chose to CASE Chrissie's one layer card with just a portion of the image raised. The Paper Players Challenge is to create a CAS card so this card qualifies for both challenges.
The stamps are from Flourishes. Prisma colored pencils blended with Gamsol were used for coloring.

Spring, Please!!
Enough already....where is 'spring'? The temps have been in the 40's, mid April, is this what they are calling "Global Warming"? Since everyone in my home is under the weather with the current 'it's going around' crapola. I thought I would try to create some spring colors in my Butterfly Garden.
The challenge at Card Crafter's Circle, this week is to use 'die cuts or dry embossing.' This seemed like a perfect opportunity to use those 'spring' colors to create a Mother's Day card. I am getting a head start on May cards because I fell behind after being in bed for two weeks. The image was colored with Copic Markers, the six different die cuts (ha!!! now you are counting so see if there are actually six die cuts on this card....kinda like ....where's Waldo?) are from MFT and Sizzix, the embossing folder is from Cuttlebug.

Wrap It With Ribbon
This week Denise at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday is challenging us to create a card using two or more ribbons.
The Gerber Daisy Stamp set was used for this card. When I envisioned this card, I planned to attach a ribbon around the stems of the daisy's, but when I looked at the stamp....the stems were too short to accommodate the ribbon. By removing some of the ink from the bottom of the stems before stamping, I was able to extend the stems (ultra fine black pen) to the length that would allow the 'wrap around' ribbon. Small slits on either side of the stems allowed me to actually 'wrap' the ribbon around the stems. Copic markers were used to color the image, die from Sizzix, green ribbon from a local floral shop, dp is K & Co.
By stamping the butterfly twice I was able to layer the top wing for more dimension. Gold wire was used for the antennae on the butterfly.
