The Gerber Daisy Stamp set was used for this card. When I envisioned this card, I planned to attach a ribbon around the stems of the daisy's, but when I looked at the stamp....the stems were too short to accommodate the ribbon. By removing some of the ink from the bottom of the stems before stamping, I was able to extend the stems (ultra fine black pen) to the length that would allow the 'wrap around' ribbon. Small slits on either side of the stems allowed me to actually 'wrap' the ribbon around the stems. Copic markers were used to color the image, die from Sizzix, green ribbon from a local floral shop, dp is K & Co.
By stamping the butterfly twice I was able to layer the top wing for more dimension. Gold wire was used for the antennae on the butterfly.

Wow, this is stunning Marie. I have a terrible time getting that stamp to stamp all the way so I never use it, I need to try again. Your coloring is wonderful and I love the sweet touch of ribbon around the stems. So gorgeous and springy!
ReplyDeleteWow did you do one fantastic job coloring your flowers! And the way you altered the stamp to use ribbon was brilliant! But my favorite part is the butterfly, very pretty. Have a great day ;)
