The challenge this week at Less is More is to use 'tearing' on a CAS card. I decided to avoid my usual 'distressed' look with 'tearing' and instead "tried" to keep in white and clean and simple! I figure if it was easy it wouldn't be called a challenge, so I really challenged myself with this card.
The sentiment, hot air balloon and the clouds are from PTI. Copic markers were used on the balloon. I punched a circle in a piece of scrap paper and sponged yellow dye ink inside to make the faux sun. The same sponge was used to lightly highlight the edges of the mountains......the hills are alive.....ha ha now you'll have that song stuck in your mind for the rest of the day!

Love this Marie, it's so cute. I'm a huge fan of CAS because to me, CAS means elegant and it may seem odd to say that about a hot air balloon and torn paper but it is. It's elegant and makes such a statement.
I would love to see a hot air balloon like this one fly over~so pretty! The torn edges of the mountains almost make them look snow covered!
Super CAS card, Marie. I love your pretty coloured air balloon and the clouds. A perfect scene with the sun setting between the mountains x
...with the sound of music! :)
Beautiful! I love the setting sun!!
So glad you stuck with it, because it turned out lovely!
Not so glad you shared the song, though. LOL! Better than "Call me Maybe" which is what I had yesterday ;)

What a great card, love the simplicity and elegance you've created, Jo x
Many apologies for the tardiness of my visit this week, a cruise to Norway intervened somewhat!
Thanks for your lovely submission.

This is lovely, Marie...way to rock the challenge!
Fabulous tearing Marie and what a super card Hugs Elaine
Marie, this card is a beauty! I absolutely love the soft colors on the balloon, and the sun peeking over the hills is fab. I've missed having you around the DT at TMS. :(
