This week Mona is hosting the Timeless Tuesday Challenge at Flourishes. The challenge is to create a corner bookmark using Flourishes images. Since I am trying to concentrate on 'masculine' cards, I though it only fitting that I should make a 'masculine' bookmark. If you are expecting lace, frills and flowers you won't see it in this bookmark. I tried to keep the layers to a minimum so that the bookmark could be used (my DH is an avid book reader!) on a page corner without indenting the surrounding pages.
The wood embossing was done with a PTI embossing plate, I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo and the coloring was added using various dye inks on a piece of Cut 'n Dry. The rope was stamped then fussy cut
The opposite side was also embossed with the PTI embossing plate. A little early for Father's Day but, better than rushing at the last minute. I think I'll make a few more of these for my 'men's basket'.
Back to creating cards in my Butterfly Garden.
