Ten Minute Creation

This card is for the Flourishes 10 minute Creation challenge. Since I'm still trying to fill a 'men's' basket with cards, I took this opportunity to make another masculine card.

This card was made using "A Guiding Light' stamp set which can be seen HERE. To create the background behind the ship, I placed a previously made mask on the stamped ship image, then applied dye inks with a piece of Cut 'n Dry. Copic markers were used to add some color to the ship and the 'message in a bottle'.

Glossy Accents was applied to the bottle to give it a glass-like effect.

White & Lace & Pearls

This week Amanda is the hostess for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge. The challenge is to make a white card with lace and pearls.

Layers upon layers of die cuts and different embossing folders were used to create this card. The stamp in the center oval is Gerbera Daisy, colored with Copic markers.

The sheen on some of the pieces was made by misting the CS with a Perfect Pearls and water mixture, this was also used to give a little shimmer to the lace. Glitter was applied to the edges of the center oval and one of the doilys.

Bold 'n Sassy

Are you ready for a fun, bold and sassy color combo? Well Dynamic Duos has just the perfect colors for this challenge....Real Red and Island Indigo. After a rainy weekend it is great to use some bright and cheery colors.

The stamp is from Penny Black, the image was colored with Prisma color pencils and then blended with Gamsol. The ticket die cut and stamp are from Whimsy stamps, paw prints are See D's and the dp's are from Fancy Pants and DCWV. A tiny bit of Stickles was added to the red roses.

This is the color combo that was used to create this card.

Baby-licious

This card was created using a delightful Mo Manning image. It is for the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches, the color challenge at Play Date Cafe (Apricot, Canary, Latte & Rose) and the Anything Goes (use twine) at Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

The image, ribbon, flowers and the pearls were colored with Copic markers.

M-Bossabilities folders were used for the background. Some of the raised designs and the edges of the papers were highlighted with dye inks applied with a piece of Cut 'n Dry. Pearl flourishes are from Zva, "Cherish" sentiment from Sweet and Sassy stamps. Shapes and edger are SB.

This is the sketch that was used to create this card. In case your wondering....Rita is having a baby!

GD @ Playing in Paradise

Great news......I am the Guest Designer at Playing in Paradise this week. There are some wonderful samples from this creative DT and I am honored to have my card displayed with theirs. Wait till you see the fun inspirational photo that will get those creative juices flowing.

I am often ask where I get my inspiration from...well this card was inspired by my two youngest grandsons who are ages 4 and 5 1/2. They really are BFF's and the older one always watches out for his younger brother.

This cute image is from Mo Manning. It was colored with Copic markers, alphabet letters are from a Sizzix die cut set, ribbon from Michaels and brads from Paper Wishes. This card is rather CAS for me, but since it was a masculine card, less is sometimes more!

This is the photo that was used to create my card. Doesn't this photo remind you of our fun-filled, carefree childhood days? If you have fond memories of those times, grab some papers and play along, you have until Thursday (noon) to submit your card.
