Me and My Shadow #2

Well this is my second card for the shadow stamping challenge at Less is More. Never mind reading the fine print....I apparently can't read the large print!!!! lol     My card was disqualified because it was two layers. So here is my ONE LAYER CARD.

Bees a Buzzin'

This is my second post for the day because the week ahead is pretty full so I won't have time to post. It seems as though 'the postings' are taking more time than the actual card creation from conception to completion! Either I am getting quicker at creating cards or my typing, photo editing, watermarking and writing skills are awfully slow.

This card is for the 'Sweet 'n Sassy Digi challenge'. The challenge was to use digi images on a Z fold card.

This is the inside of the card. A left over scrap from the background was cut and colored to resemble a beehive and placed on the tab on the far left.

The background paper was created by resizing, scattering and turning the bee image randomly before printing on yellow/gold paper. After it was cut to size it was embossed with a Sizzix die then the raised areas were highlighted with Vintage Photo Ink applied with a piece of cut 'n dry. The beehive was paper pieced then highlighted with Copic markers. A piece of Terrycloth was used to add some texutre to the Copic coloring on the hive. A small bee was fussy cut for the front of the beehive. Stickles were added to the bumblebee wings.

Springtime Sketch

Snow is on the ground but 'spring' is on my mind. Since the warm weather seems to be avoiding upstate New York, I thought I would participate in a 'Springtime' sketch challenge at The Sweet Stop sponsored by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

The "Springtime Cocoa clear stamp set was used to create this card. Copic markers were used to color the image and the matching flower, die cuts from Sizzix and edger from Fiskar. Stickles were added to the flowers. DP from Heidi Grace.

This is the sketch that was used to design my card. As usual I turned it on it's side!

Playing in Paradise

After vacationing in Paradise, it is only appropriate that I try a "Playing in Paradise" sketch challenge.

DP from Heidi Grace, die cuts are Sizzix, birthday stamp Art Impressions, embossing powder (on leaf die cuts) is from Stampendous, floral stamp from the Long Stem Silhouette's set by Sweet 'n Sassy.

This is the sketch that was used to design this card. Nothing has changed....I'm still rotating my sketches :-)
