Lucky #3

Three is one of my favorite numbers. I don't know why, I just always pick that number when someone says "Pick a number from 1 to 10". This challenge from The Paper Players is to make a card with "three" images, shapes or embellishments using the inspirational sketch.

My grandson will be starting kindergarten in September so I made him a "first day of school" card. I always think of "A-B-C" and primary colors when I think of kindergarten. With ABC and primary colors in mind I made this card.

I used a TPC Studios clear stamp set to create the background. Some of the images were colored with Copic markers. The A-B-C buttons and ribbon are from JoAnns, the crayon button is from Michaels. I wanted a apple for the top right corner but after looking through drawers and plastic containers and boxes and stash etc....not a single apple in the collection. How is it possible to have the world's largest supply of embellishment, yet not a single APPLE? ;-( I decided to quill one from my stash of quilling papers. It seems as though I have lots quilling papers but no apples!

I applied some stickles on top of my apple to give it a little "bling".

This is the inspirational sketch.

Adorable card and perfect for this time of year. I have been thinking about trying quilling, but now I need to do more than think about it. Your apple is awesome!
